Door knocking and meeting voters

Just a quick update on the campaign. Josi, the girls, and I have been spending many nights traveling around Lakeville to knock on doors and meet some voters.  We are so grateful for the positive response. We have heard lots of concerns including keeping a lid on property taxes, ensuring we can provide quality housing for seniors, and even the need for a few new stop lights.  If you see us walking around, say hello! Tomorrow is Annie’s birthday so we are taking the night off, but we hope to be in your neighborhood soon.

happybirthday!

For Immediate Release

First time candidate Luke Hellier raised over $6,500 – more than any City Council candidate during the 2014 election

(LAKEVILLE, MN) – Today, the Hellier Volunteer Committee announced Luke Hellier’s initial fundraising totals for his campaign for Lakeville City Council. Hellier’s campaign has raised $6,560.00 from 60 donors since entering the race and currently has $4,796.00 cash on hand.

“I am deeply humbled by the outpouring support from friends, family, and members of our community. The resources provided to my campaign will help share my message of practical ideas to move Lakeville forward. We need to work together with diverse voices to create a great place to raise a family, start a business, or to retire with the highest standard of living,” Hellier stated.

Luke plans to continue meeting voters to hear about their priorities and attending community events, like National Night Out.

Hellier currently serves on the Dakota County Planning Commission and ISD194 Long Term Facilities Planning Committee.
